Catching Up With Elian Perger

We like to keep regular contact with our riders, so we decided to catch up with French rider, Elian to see how he's been getting on.

Hey Elian, how have you been?
I'm fine because I graduated a couple weeks ago so I'm on holidays now!

It’s been a good few months since we last caught up with you. What’s new in your world, personally and on the skateboard?
Yeah it's been a while, I have been working on a video for 1 year now and I hope I will get to finish it at the end of the summer so I'm pretty exited about it.

Interview with Hooked's David Ford

Hooked’s latest DVD, Acid Drop, has recently hit the shelves and we love it! We decided to catch up with Hooked founder, David Ford, to get a bit more of an insight into how it all started and what’s involved in the making of their awesome edits.

David Ford has been skating since 1999… when big names were Koston, Muska, Rowley, Cardiel, Sanchez, Creager and so on! “Seems like a long time now… weird how the skill level doesn’t increase in line with the years”, says David.

Hooked was set up in 2005 as a community project… with the idea to help skateboarding and skateboarders in some way.

Wheels Of Steel - UK Vert Series 2017

The Wheels of Steel contest went down last weekend at Adrenaline Alley in Corby, and honestly the level of skateboarding was amazing from all categories. This contest, brilliantly put together and run, was the baby of Mat Marlow and marked the first leg of this year’s UK Vert series. The attendance at this round of the series is the highest that it has ever been, with over 40 participants taking to Corby’s 14ft vert ramp to showcase their skills.

Kicking Off The Year With Roxana Howlett

We recently checked in with team rider, Roxana, to see how her year is kicking off!

Hi Roxana how have you been keeping? How was Christmas for you?
Hi. I’ve been good, skating lots and having fun.  Christmas was great thank you - I got some cool kneepads and a new helmet, and I got to visit Brighton and skate down there which was good.

You seem to be having a busy start to the New Year. We’ve already seen your great result at the Ben builder skate jam at Mount Hawke, how do you rate your first month and a bit of 2017 so far?
It’s been a really good start to the year - since xmas I’ve learnt front shuvs, landed my first 6 stair and had a rad weekend at Camp Hillcrest. I’ve also been working on my backside airs.
